Who are we?
We're a local club for anyone who wants to play table-top games and board games with a group of fun people. Formerly known as Tauranga Wargames Club we started back in 1976. The games are competitive, but we rate sportsmanship and having a good time ahead of winning or losing. Many of the games played involve miniature models, buildings and scenery; and these are on display in games, or you may see them under construction or being painted by some of our club members. We have a Junior section where the younger players can compete against each other, learning the ins and outs of different games and gaining confidence in their skills, before moving on to the open challenge-based format most of the games are organised with. We welcome all people to come and see the club. If you have time, you may be able to join one of the many games on offer - or you can just watch if that's more your scene. We have drink and snacks available if you need refreshment. So whether you want to play, paint, build, or just read about the different types of games; come down to the club – we'd love to meet you!
